Cody Rhodes Calls WWE Return The Best 3 Months Of His Life

Cody Rhodes had a big three months in WWE before his torn pec

Cody Rhodes has had a 2022 filled with ups and downs so far.

The American Nightmare began the year as TNT Champion in All Elite Wrestling but he would drop the belt to Sammy Guevara in a Unification Ladder Match in late January which turned out to be Cody's last match for the promotion. Rhodes would then leave AEW with wife Brandi in February and after much anticipation, he returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38, being revealed as Seth Rollins' mystery opponent.

Rhodes was very quickly presented as a top star and he would go on to defeat Seth Rollins two more times, including inside Hell In A Cell on June 5 in one of the matches of the year. Rhodes tore his pectoral muscle before his third match with Rollins, however, and he has been out of action ever since.

Speaking about his WWE return with TMZ, Cody admitted it was the best three months of his life.

"They've treated me like the house that built me. And honestly, it was amazing. We were back, and everything was rolling so fast. And then I tore my pec. It was like the best three months of my life. Hopefully, get back to that soon," he said.

When Rhodes will return has yet to be revealed and Cody admitted doctors have been reluctant to give him a timeline. He did note that he knows when he would like to return.

"They know I'm stupid, and I'd try to test it. I got in my mind where I want to be, and I think a lot of fans have in their mind where I'd like to be, and that's hopefully where it's at," Rhodes stated.

The typical timetable of Rhodes' injury would suggest he will be back on WWE TV in early 2023, just in time for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
