Cody Rhodes Challenges Brock Lesnar To SummerSlam Match On WWE Raw

Cody Rhodes has officially challenged Brock Lesnar to a WWE SummerSlam match

After weeks of speculation, Cody Rhodes officially challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at WWE SummerSlam, with ‘The American Nightmare’ calling out ‘The Beast Incarnate’ on the July 10 edition of WWE Raw from buffalo, New York.

Rhodes cut an impassioned promo on Raw, comparing Lesnar to a multitude of fears and calling the former WWE and UFC Heavyweight Champion “a walking billboard for Darwinisim and natural selection”. Rhodes then proposed a rubber match for SummerSlam, saying that he wants to beat Lesnar once and for all and become ‘next in line’.

Should Lesnar accept Cody’s challenge, then SummerSlam will see the two fight for a third time in 2023, Rhodes winning their first encounter at Backlash in early May, whilst Brock won their rematch at Night of Champions later that month.

We are less than one month away from ‘The Biggest Part of the Summer’ with SummerSlam 2023 scheduled for Detroit’s Ford Field on August 5. No matches have been officially announced for the event at the time of writing.
