Cody Rhodes Comments On Sammy Guevara's AEW Suspension

He'll come back a better man...

Last week, All Elite Wrestling announced Sammy Guevara had been suspended without pay for an indefinite period. The Spanish God will undergo sensitivity training and his salary will be donated to the Women's Center of Jacksonville.

The suspension came after Guevara made inappropriate comments about WWE Superstar Sasha Banks on a podcast in 2016. He said: "Bro, Sasha Banks. When I was at WWE the other week (working as an extra), I wanted to just go and f*****g rape that woman."

AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes commented on the matter last night after a fan tweeted him saying Sammy should be immediately reinstated. While The American Nightmare did not agree with the comment, he said Sammy will return and will be "a better man when he does."

Cody tweeted: "Sammy will return. And he will be a better professional wrestler, and a better man when he does."

When Sammy will return remains to be seen but his fellow Inner Circle members Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz will be in action this week at Fyter Fest 2020. Catch all the action live and on demand on FITE.
