Cody Rhodes Safe After Tour Bus Catches Fire

Cody Rhodes' tour bus erupted in flames

Cody Rhodes is heading into the biggest weekend of his entire professional wrestling career as he is set to main event two consecutive nights of WrestleMania, taking on The Rock & Roman Reigns alongside Seth Rollins on Night One of WrestleMania 40, and battling Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on Night Two. However, things nearly went up in flames for Rhodes’ WrestleMania dreams.

Taking to X, Rhodes posted and revealed that his tour bus had been involved in a fire.

“Before you hear it elsewhere - my tour bus caught fire last night. Everybody is safe and okay. The 2 items I grabbed before I got off will probably pop wrestling fans. Again, thank you @PhillyFireDept.”

Later in the day, Rhodes appeared as a guest on a live edition of the Pat McAfee Show in front of fans, revealing that those two items that he mentioned were his WrestleMania boots and a photo of his wife and daughter. He didn’t go into details about the fire itself, but noted that for a moment the bus did erupt in a fireball, though it didn’t burn to a crisp.
