Cody Rhodes Thinks Kit Wilson Could Become A 'Breakout Star' In WWE

Kit Wilson is enjoying a surge of popularity in WWE, and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes thinks Wilson could become a breakout star in the promotion.

Wilson has gotten over with swathes of the WWE fanbase during his current run, embarking on a quest to rid the WWE of toxic masculinity. Rhodes has noted how Wilson has seized his opportunity, and said the following to Adam Glyn when discussing who he thinks will be the next crop of breakout stars in the company:

“I think this one’s fairly obvious, I’ve talked about Trick [Williams] there and Je’Von [Evans] is on his way,” Rhodes said. “Bron Breakker’s on his way. Oba [Femi], Oba is definitely — that’s a safe bet. And then I’ll say somebody who you can tell wants it, and ‘wants it’ really matters to me, and I think might make it: Kit Wilson.”

Since Wilson’s Pretty Deadly tag partner Elton prince was ruled out of action with injury, Kit has become a featured player on WWE TV, recently wrestling Jelly Roll on the March 27 edition of WWE SmackDown in a losing effort. In spite of his cult following, Wilson missed out on the 2026 Royal Rumble match, despite being flown to Saudi Arabia.
