'Cowboy' Bob Orton, the father of WWE star Randy Orton, has commented on his son's back injury.

The WWE Hall of Famer weighed in on The Viper's injury woes while speaking with Sportskeeda, saying:

"He's got a little bit of a back problem. I think he'll take care of everything with rehab and everything. After more than 20 years, wear and tear on the body, it's too much".

Fightful Select reported yesterday that WWE officials feared that Randy may require surgery and be sidelined for the remainder of 2022.

Though Orton has intermittently taken time off over the years for various injuries, he has been a main roster fixture for two decades and has wrestled close to 2,500 matches during his career.

The 14-time world champion mentioned in January that he was starting to suffer after hitting the RKO for so many years, telling Fox 2 Now:

"I kind of wish I could go back in time and create a finishing move that didn't entail me jumping up as high as I can and landing on my back. After doing that a couple of thousand times over the last few decades, I'm starting to feel it".
