I wrote about why Big E is THE breakout star in wrestling in one of yesterday’s nomination pieces. Tied in with how far the New Day member has come is simply just how behind him the WWE Universe has been.
Throughout it all, Big E has had the support and adulation of the fans. There was always a concern, going from the ThunderDome Era back to live shows, that the online support wouldn’t cross over into a physical reaction, but those worries were quelled immediately.
Big E is over. Big E is loved. The roar when he won the Money In The Bank was huge. The pop when he cashed in to win the WWE Title was golden.
Just consider the reactions when he defended against WWE’s other mega face, Drew McIntyre, in October. Big E was the fan’s chosen wrestler.
He is THEIR WWE Champion.
