Dana Brooke Addresses Criticism Of WWE NXT Performance

Dana Brooke was booed during a stretcher job on WWE NXT

Dana Brooke has responded to criticism of her recent performance on WWE NXT.

The former 24/7 Champion returned to NXT in recent weeks and she went one-on-one with Cora Jade on the June 20 show from the developmental brand. During the match, Brooke suffered a kayfabe leg injury which led to her being taken to the back on a stretcher, only for Brooke to fight through the pain and return to the ring.

Instead of cheering, though, the fans in attendance booed Brooke getting off the stretcher and the crowd only cheered for Jade after she applied a Single-Leg Crab. The crowd then urged Brooke to tap and the match ended soon after when the referee called for the bell.

Brooke has since taken to Twitter to address the criticism, writing: "Alright I get it, y'all think I suck...Got it, NOTED, Awesome….. &…..

Brooke has been a part of WWE since July 2013. She has received criticism on TV in the past, with Corey Graves stating on commentary in 2021 that Brooke hadn't achieved much of anything in WWE. Seth Rollins then took a jibe at Brooke in 2022, saying that Austin Theory had a better chance of cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on her than the then-United States Champion. Brooke was 24/7 Champion at the time.
