Daniel Bryan: Big E Can Carry WWE Into The Future

"He’s such a good talker, wrestler and so charismatic."

Daniel Bryan has backed Big E to succeed in a main event position in WWE and would choose the former New Day to carry the company going forward.

Big E has enjoyed a successful return to singles action since splitting from his New Day stablemates last year, winning the Intercontinental Championship on Smackdown.

Big E looks set to be pushed even higher up the card in the next 12 months, with many predicting a WWE or Universal Title run in his future, and Bryan believes the 35-year-old has all the tools needed to be the man in the promotion.

When asked which WWE superstar could take the company into the next era, Bryan told Sporting News: "It’s hard, but that person would be Big E. He’s such a good talker, wrestler and so charismatic. He’s still in his early 30s, he looks the part, he can be funny or scary or everything in between.

"If I were in charge, he would have a bigger role. One of the things with wrestling is that you don’t know if somebody is going to succeed in the main event spot until you put them in the main event spot. You never know until they have that opportunity."
