Daniel Garcia Reveals Why He Joined The Jericho Appreciation Society

Daniel Garcia details why he is in the Jericho Appreciation Society

On the post-Revolution edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho disbanded The Inner Circle and formed his new faction, The Jericho Appreciation Society.

Former Inner Circle member Jake Hager joined the new stable along with 2point0 and Daniel Garcia.

Widely regarded as a rising star within the industry, Garcia being added to Jericho's group came as somewhat of a surprise, with many expecting the technically-gifted wrestler to link up with Blackpool Combat Crew, similar to Wheeler Yuta.

Addressing joining JAS instead of William Regal's group while speaking to WhatCulture, Garcia revealed he wanted to learn how to be a sports entertainer, especially since he is already a good professional wrestler.

"Every interview I saw of him [Danielson], he talked about how he wanted to be in a group with me, how he wanted to take me under his wing, then the Jericho thing came about and I wanted to learn how to be a sports entertainer. I didn't want to learn how to be a good wrestler because I'm already a good wrestler," Garcia said.

"Now, I need to become a great sports entertainer, that's what Chris Jericho is teaching me. People online, they kept saying, 'I want to see you team up with the greatest of all time,' they saw the interviews and saw people saying, 'Daniel Garcia needs to be in a group with the greatest of all time.' I did it and I teamed with Chris Jericho."

Garcia teamed with Jericho on the March 23 edition of AEW Dynamite in a win over Dark Order's John Silver and Alex Reynolds. They then teamed together again in six-man action with Jake Hager as the JAS defeated Santana, Ortiz, and Eddie Kingston.
