Daniel Garcia Waiting To Begin Talks Over New AEW Deal

Daniel Garcia not rushing into talks over a new AEW deal

Daniel Garcia is slowly creeping his way up the card in All Elite Wrestling, with the former ROH Pure Champion recently earning a no-contest draw with Adam Copeland in singles competition, and tagging with FTR in trios action.

Garcia is set to face Christian Cage for the TNT Championship at AEW Revolution on March 3, and is in the midst of a ‘contract year’ with the organisation. Speaking with ROAR Around The Ring, ‘Red Death’ revealed he is staying focused on the task at hand before getting involved with contract talks:

"I’m gonna deal with it when I need to. I’m focusing on the subject at hand, and the subject at hand right now is the TNT Championship," said Garcia.

Garcia continued, reflecting on his current run in the company:

“I feel like I’m at a point in my career where every match that I have feels like it’s the biggest match I’ve ever had in my life. Everything that I have feels like an opportunity to prove myself, it feels like an opportunity to step into my own greatness. I feel like everything that I do right now is vitally important to the rest of my career. So this is definitely up there as far as an overarching view of biggest matches of my career. I think this is one that I’ll look back on in 20 years and say, man, this was a big turning point for Danny Garcia," Garcia said.
