Darby Allin To Defend The TNT Title On AEW Rampage

Darby Allin's first TNT Title defence revealed

Darby Allin will defend the TNT Championship for the first time in his second reign with the gold on the January 6 edition of Rampage.

Darby regained the title on the January 4 edition of Dynamite, defeating Samoa Joe in his hometown of Seattle, Washington. Allin was interviewed by Renee Paquette following Dynamite and he mentioned bringing back TNT Title open challenges. This prompted Mike Bennett to interrupt and he accepted Darby's open challenge. The match was then booked for Rampage.

Mike Bennett and Kingdom tag team partner Matt Taven have been a part of AEW since October 2022. Bennett has hardly wrestled for the promotion, though, and January 6 will be his first match on AEW TV.

Rampage will air live from Portland, Oregon on January 6. Check out the updated lineup below:

  • Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson vs. Top Flight
  • Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker vs. The Renegade Twins
  • Darby Allin (c) vs. Mike Bennett - TNT Championship
  • Perro Peligroso vs. TBA
  • House of Black promo
