Dean Ambrose/Nia Jax House Show Match Reportedly Scrapped

It was reported in the previous day that a match pitting Dean Ambrose against Nia Jax would take place at a WWE live event in Jonesboro, AR later this month, based on a commercial that aired in the Jonesboro market. The match was billed as an "Integender Special Attraction."

John Pollock of POST Wrestling reported on Sunday that a representative of WWE reached out to Pollock on Friday, stating that the match would not be taking place. Pollock adds that the WWE rep informed him that the Jonesboro commercial was "outdated". Dave Meltzer says he was also told by somebody within WWE that the match will not be happening.

Ambrose worked an angle with Jax on the post-Royal Rumble episode of Raw, the same day that Ambrose gave WWE his notice that he would be leaving the company at the expiration of his contract in late April.

Recent Raw house shows have seen Ambrose putting over EC3, while Jax and Tamina have attacked Bayley, Natalya, and Dana Brooke after six-woman tag matches on the same shows.
