Deonna Purrazzo Wins IMPACT Knockouts World Championship At Rebellion 2023

IMPACT Rebellion 2023 saw Deonna Purrazzo win the Knockouts World Championship

Despite her best efforts, IMPACT Knockouts Champion Mickie James was not cleared to perform at the event, and vacated the title on the go-home edition of IMPACT Wrestling. With James out of the picture, it was left to Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo to fight it out to become the new champion, with ‘The Virtuosa’ lifting the title once again in Rebellion’s main event.

Purrazzo was looking to wear down Grace from the off, wanting a Venus de Milo armbar to settle things as soon as possible. Grace would power back, using her superior strength to keep Purrazzo at bay, and would come close to victory after several big power moves, with Purrazzo kicking out of a huge Grace Driver in the middle of the ring. Purrazzo would get the Venus de Milo locked in but Grace would escape, and it would eventually take a Queen’s Gambit piledriver in the centre of the ring for Purrazzo to get the win and walk away with the gold.

This win sees Purrazzo kick off her third reign with the Knockouts World Championship, lifting the belt for the first time since dropping it to Mickie James at Bound For Glory 2021.
