According to Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Levesque's time spent in Japan included other potentially-significant meetings aside from that. One such meeting took place with officials from the Dragon Gate promotion. Meltzer also notes that WWE officials also met with representatives from the Stardom promotion.
While Japan is a major target of WWE's, Meltzer also notes that the company is looking hard at Australia, as, "they have been actively recruiting all the top wrestlers there."
One Australian-born wrestler named in Meltzer's report is, as one might expect, Robbie Eagles, who recently shone in matches with Will Ospreay, Bandido, and others as part of this year's NJPW Best of the Super Juniors tournament. However, Meltzer adds that Eagles is under a New Japan deal, so he probably wouldn't be WWE-bound any time soon.
