Dexter Lumis & Indi Hartwell Reunite On WWE NXT

WWE NXT featured a widely-popular reunion on Tuesday night. 

Following Indi Hartwell's loss to Blair Davenport inside the WWE Performance Center, the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion cut a promo about reaching rock bottom, noting she wasn't even sure why she had picked up the microphone. 

Fans in the arena suddenly erupted, though, as Dexter Lumis emerged from the ring. A stunned Hartwell and her husband then entered the squared circle before they embraced and kissed. 

Lumis carried his wife backstage and handed her a note that read: 'Goodbye Indi (for now…). I love you forever.' The couple were then separated once again moments later as Lumis was arrested by police and taken away. 

Index had been a fixture in WWE for close to a year and they were married in September of 2021 on the first episode of the revamped NXT 2.0. Lumis was released in April of 2022, however, and Hartwell not wearing a wedding ring was the only storyline acknowledgement of his exit. 

Lumis was not gone from WWE for very long as Triple H has brought back several released talents since he became the head of talent relations and creative. The Tortured Artist has made brief appearances on Monday Night Raw in recent weeks, including kidnapping The Miz on August 22.
