Don Callis To Be Mauro Ranallo's Commentary Partner For Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling

Mauro Ranallo's partner at the commentary table for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will be Don Callis, the promotion announced today. Callis will serve as the colour commentator while Mauro Ranallo will be on play-by-play.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling owner and president Scott D'Amore said: "We mean it when we say MAPLE LEAF PRO will be Forged In Excellence. Just as our two-night pay-per-view event on October 19 and 20 will feature the likes of 'The Maharaja' Raj Dhesi, Josh Alexander, and Speedball Mike Bailey in the ring, our commentary team will also be the best in class with Mauro Ranallo now joined by Don Callis. All that on-air talent will be supported by a production truck full of award winners and a who's who of pro-wrestling live event production."

Don Callis and Scott D'Amore previously worked together for several years running TNA (then IMPACT Wrestling) as the promotion's EVPs. Their partnership came to an end when Callis left IMPACT in 2021 and became a full-time member of All Elite Wrestling.

Scott D'Amore was previously the President of TNA but he was fired by Anthem, TNA's parent company, earlier this year. He has since revived Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and the promotion will hold two 'Forged in Excellence' events at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on October 19 and October 20. The shows will air on TrillerTV and feature the likes of Raj Dhesi (AKA Jinder Mahal), Konosuke Takeshita, El Phantasmo, Josh Alexander, Gisele Shaw, KUSHIDA, Alex Zayne, Kevin Knight, Jake Something, Trevor Lee, and Kylie Rae.
