Door Open For Bobby Lashley To Return To WWE

The door is open for the former WWE Champion to make future appearances.

Bobby Lashley's most recent WWE run officially came to an end after his contract expired and he opted not to sign a new deal.

Though he is not currently working for the company, there is the possibility for the former WWE Champion to one day return.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, sources within WWE said the door was open for future appearances. However, the report added that there is interest in Lashley from top companies (both domestic and international), as well as interest within the combat sports world. The 48-year-old does intend to continue wrestling, based on what he has told those close to him.

One thing on the agenda could be reforming the Hurt Business faction in AEW. A new trademark filing for the term 'The Hurt Syndicate' seems to indicate what name the group would go by.

Lashley also has a potential boxing match lined up, as he recently told The Laboratory podcast

"I love to be able to push myself to do things that are ridiculous. I set goals for myself every day. What can I do? How far can I push myself? How much can I do? I want to run a marathon. I'm going to try to do that pretty soon. I'll do jiu-jitsu, I'm going to try and win a world championship in jiu-jitsu. I'm going to do a boxing match. We've already talked about this boxing match. I might have an opportunity to do it. I'm boxing somebody in Vegas. There is an opponent"

Lashley enjoyed success in MMA previously, fighting for promotions such as Strikeforce and Bellator, where he amassed a record of 15-2.
