On night two of WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre fulfilled his destiny as he defeated Brock Lesnar after four Claymore Kicks to win the WWE Championship. This marked the end of a six-year journey after The Scottish Psychopath was released by WWE where he spent three years on the indy circuit before returning to the company and cementing himself as a top star.

While everyone believed McIntyre's battle with Lesnar was the main event of The Showcase Of The Immortals, it turns out WWE taped a hidden main event after the show went off the air. The first-ever British WWE Champion returned to the ring 20 minutes after his win over The Beast to cut a promo.

In typical WWE fashion, he wasn't alone for long as he was interrupted by The Big Show, who seemingly turned heel for the 900th time in his career. The World's Largest Athlete proceeded to goad McIntyre into a WWE title match and fans' hearts were in their mouths after Show hit the champion with a vicious Chokeslam. Luckily for everyone watching, McIntyre kicked out at two.

Soon after, Drew showed his resilience as he fought on and connected with a Claymore Kick to retain the WWE Championship.
