Raw Superstar Drew McIntyre today took park in a WWE conference call, in which he discussed a number of topics - from fellow roster members he'd like to clash with in future, to

McIntyre is yet to be booked in a match for SummerSlam, but when asked about the August pay per view, explained that 'Phase 1' of his return to the main roster was to help keep the Intercontinental Championship around Dolph Ziggler's waist. Ziggler is set to defend the title against Seth Rollins, meaning that we could see McIntyre continue to have an impact on the feud from ringside.

However, he was keen to stress that 'Phase 2' remains the Universal Championship - and when asked whether he'd prefer to face Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, or Braun Strowman for the title, he simply answered "whichever holds the title".

McIntyre also spoke about opponents he'd like to face elsewhere on the main roster. The most intriguing name was current WWE Champion AJ Styles, with whom the Scot described having a "ships in the night" relationship with. Indeed, the pair have never wrestled one another despite their respectively storied careers thus far.

Other names McIntyre mentioned wanting to face down the line include Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, and Seth Rollins. We won't have to wait too long to see the latter face Drew, as they're set to do battle on tonight's Raw. When asked about this match, McIntyre stated that whenever he faces somebody of Rollins' calibre, he's confident of setting a high bar for the rest of the show to follow - something he always aims to do.
