Drew McIntyre Vs. Randy Orton Announced For WWE Raw

In a non-title bout...

WWE champion Drew McIntyre is slated to go one on one with Randy Orton on this Monday's edition of WWE Raw, in a non-title match, as announced by the company on Friday.

The two men feuded throughout the latter half of 2020 across several pay-per-views, over McIntyre's WWE championship. After falling short at consecutive events, Orton captured the title at Hell in a Cell in October, only to drop the belt back to McIntyre on Monday Night Raw three weeks later.

Each man's Royal Rumble destiny, however, will not include each other. Orton is slated to take part in the men's 30-man Rumble match. While not yet "official", McIntyre is expected to defend his championship against Bill Goldberg, stemming from an altercation at the end of Monday's "Legends Night" edition of Raw.

Raw did its best viewership since March for this past Monday's "Legends Night" episode (2,128,000 viewers). However, this Monday's Raw will face heavy competition, going head to head with the College Football National Championship Game on ESPN, which pits Alabama against Ohio State.
