"Dynamite" Confirmed As Name Of AEW's TNT Show

As rumored for some time...

Is Dynamite as explosive as Nitro? We'll know soon enough.

As had been rumored for many, many months, All Elite Wrestling's television program will be named Dynamite. This was confirmed by the company today on Twitter, while the AEW on TNT Twitter account followed up with, "You asked for it… Wednesday. Night. Dynamite. We’ve got a name."

As far back as November 2018, before AEW even made their New Year's start-up announcement, All Elite Wrestling filed for numerous trademarks, including one for a TV series called "Tuesday Night Dynamite". In the same set of filings, the names "Double or Nothing" and "All Out" were filed as trademarks of the new entity.

Of course, the name had to be tweaked slightly, as the show will be airing on Wednesday nights, beginning October 2.

The debut show emanates from The Capital One Arena from Washington, DC. The card includes:

*Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks vs. AEW World champion Chris Jericho and two mystery partners

*Nyla Rose vs. Riho to determine the first AEW Women's champion

*Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara

*MJF vs. Brandon Cutler

*An appearance from Jon Moxley
