EC3 Hospitalised Due To 'Extensive Infection'
The 38-year-old confirmed his illness on social media
EC3 has revealed he has been in hospital for the last five days fighting an 'extensive infection' and will need longer to fully recover.
The 38-year-old, who has worked for IMPACT, Ring Of Honor and on the independent circuit since his release from WWE last April, took to Instagram to reveal he was laid up in hospital after neglecting to take care of himself after getting the initial infection.
EC3 wrote on the social media platform that, while he is on the path to recovery, he will take a little time to heal, asking friends not to text him but to allow him to focus on getting better.
He posted: "#ControlYourNarrative CAN KILL YOU
"That's not strictly just an attention grabbing headline. it's more of an update. Short version; an infection I neglected proper care for, put others people's needs before mind, went straight empath, caught up to me and broke me.
"Long version; it's extensive, I've been hospitalized 5 days and we'll need longer. Anyways I will heal, if you want to help drop a comment or a thought or affirmation. Please do not text. PLEASE. All I ask. If you want to help let me be alone."
