Eddie Kingston Pulled From Indy Event With Injury

Eddie Kingston hurt, pulled from indy show

AEW star Eddie Kingston is seemingly dealing with an injury, with the ‘Mad King’ recently pulled from a scheduled match on the indies as a result.

Whilst the nature of the injury has not been disclosed, it is enough to cause Kingston to take time away from the ring, with Kingston’s scheduled match against Artemis Spencer at DEFY Wrestling’s Year 6 event on February 11 cancelled.

DEFY broke the news on Twitter, writing:

“DEFY has learned that due to injury EDDIE KINGSTON will no longer be able to compete at tonight's YEAR6. EDDIE is super bummed and we wish him a speedy recovery. We'll have him back for a future event! DON'T FEAR, Defyance- a stacked card remains, 6 YEARS LOUD!”

Kingston last wrestled on the Ring of Honor Jay Briscoe Celebration of Life Special on January 18, and it is believed that Kingston suffered his injury this past Wednesday.

It doesn’t seem as though Kingston will be out of the ring very long though, as it appears his highly anticipated singles bout against Jay White at NJPW Battle in the Valley on February 18 is still going ahead.
