Edge To Challenge For United States Title On WWE Raw

Edge vs. Austin Theory set for WWE Raw

Edge will look to win his first WWE championship since coming out of retirement in 2020 on the February 20 edition of Monday Night Raw.

The show is set to emanate from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Edge announced he would be answering Austin Theory's open challenge for a United States Title match during the Elimination Chamber press conference. Edge noted he hadn't wrestled in Ottawa for 20 years and he questioned Theory's decision as a child to be a fan of John Cena before accepting the open challenge.

Edge hasn't wrestled in Ottawa since a 2005 house show loss to The Big Show. The Rated-R Superstar is a former United States Champion, having held the WCW version of the belt for six days in November 2001 until it was unified with the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series.

Both Theory and Edge were successful at Elimination Chamber on Saturday, February 18. Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix defeated Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley of Judgment Day, while Austin Theory retained the United States Title in an Elimination Chamber match with the help of Logan Paul.

Already announced for Raw in Ottawa is Dolph Ziggler vs. Mustafa Ali.
