Edge Wrestles Final Match Of WWE Contract On SmackDown

Edge said goodbye to the crowd after what could be his last WWE match

Edge may have very well wrestled his last match in WWE. Last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown marked the 25th Anniversary Celebration of his WWE career, and it very much felt like the night was leading up to saying goodbye to the Rated R Superstar. With his family ringside, tears falling, and a long main event featuring all his best hits, it was an emotional one.

Edge scored the victory over his friend Sheamus, and once SmackDown went off the air he took to the mic and told the Toronto crowd that this would be his last time in front of them, explaining that he doesn’t have another full year in him, but he would remember this forever.

With earlier reports about this being the last match on his current deal, it remains to be seen what Edge does from here in terms of his in-ring future. He did note that he’s going to take some time with his family to decide on his next steps.
