Ember Moon Returning At Upcoming Indy Event

Ember Moon's first post-WWE match has been revealed. 

Going by Athena once again, the former NXT Women's Champion will challenge AEW's Thunder Rosa for the Warrior Wrestling Women's Title at the indy promotion's February 12 show from Cicero, Illinois. 

Alongside the match announcement, Warrior Wrestling posted a short clip of Athena confronting Thunder Rosa and accepting her open challenge. 

Also set for Warrior Wrestling's February 12 show is Dante Martin vs. Bandido, Warhorse vs. Dalton Castle, and The Briscoes vs. The Workhorsemen, along with other matches.

Thunder Rosa has been the Warrior Wrestling Women's Champion since she defeated Kylie Rae for the gold in August of 2021. So far, La Mera Mera has defended the title against Mercedes Martinez, La Rosa Negra and Madi Wrenkowski.

Prior to her WWE release in November of 2021, Moon spent the last seven years performing on NXT and the main roster and she had reigns as NXT Women's Champion and NXT Women's Tag Team Champion with Shotzi Blackheart. 

Her 90-day non-compete clause expired this week.
