Eric Bischoff: MJF Has A Ceiling In AEW

He’s one of the biggest heels in wrestling, the AEW World Champion, and has just come off a MOTY worthy performance against Bryan Danielson at AEW Revolution, but Eric Bischoff believes that MJF has a ceiling in AEW.

The outspoken former WCW President was asked about MJF’s future on the Going Broadway podcast, with Bischoff believing the ‘Salt of the Earth’ will eventually end up in WWE:

"Sure, he's a very talented dude. Very talented, unquestionably. I'd be surprised if he doesn't end up there," said Bischoff before adding he thinks the AEW World Champion will "only fly as high as the ceiling in AEW lets him fly."

Despite making appearances on AEW TV early in Dynamite’s run, Bischoff has become very critical of the organisation and its President Tony Khan.

As for MJF, Friedman himself insists that he will become a free agent next year, and has long spoken of the ‘Bidding War of 2024’ as he teases a move away from AEW to WWE.
