Exclusive: Aleah James On How She Signed With WWE NXT UK

"I know it's a very unique start which I’m proud of"

WWE has added numerous new faces to the NXT UK roster since late 2020 and the likes of Millie McKenzie, Bobbi Tyler, Bailey Matthews, Sha Samuels and Meiko Satomura have all officially signed with the company in recent months.

Independent wrestling standout Aleah James also signed with WWE recently, only two years after she made her pro wrestling debut, and she reflected on signing with the company during an exclusive chat with Cultaholic Wrestling's Mitch Waddon.

"I just feel like where I posted a load of my content online, when I was new I knew that would have to be the way for people to see me because I hadn't had many matches and I hadn't travelled around. So, I think just maybe they saw it online and they liked it. And during lockdown, I got offered a job, and that's without a try-out, without me going to PC before. So, I know it's a very unique start which I'm proud of," James said.

James made her WWE debut in November 2020 in a loss to Jinny. She has since wrestled three more times on NXT UK, most recently in a loss to Isla Dawn on March 25.

Mitch also spoke to Oliver Carter in the same interview and you can check out the full chat here.
