EXCLUSIVE: The Rock & More Record New Voice Lines For Future WWE 2K Video Games

The Rock and more were scanned for future WWE 2K games, Cultaholic Wrestling can exclusively reveal

Preparations are underway for future entries in the WWE 2K series and the team from 2K was backstage at the September 15 edition of Friday Night SmackDown at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

A source close to the situation told Cultaholic Wrestling that the 2K team was at the show doing full body and face scans of talent and recording new voice lines for several wrestlers, including The Rock. The new lines revolved around new voice emotes and some phrases.

Along with The Rock, the likes of LA Knight, IYO SKY, Rey Mysterio, Austin Theory, Asuka, and some members of the Judgment Day had new scans done and they recorded new lines.

The Rock was backstage at the September 15 edition of SmackDown following his return to WWE TV that saw him take out Austin Theory alongside Pat McAfee. The show was Johnson's first appearance on WWE programming since October 2019. The Rock could be sticking around too, having hinted he is open to facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024.

The latest entry in the WWE 2K franchise, WWE 2K23, was released in March of this year. It is assumed the next entry in the series will be WWE 2K24.
