EXCLUSIVE: WWE Adds New Name To AAA Creative Team

WWE are continuing to influence the future of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and a new name has been signed to assist with the booking of the promotion based in Mexico.

Sources close to the situation have told Cultaholic that WWE have signed "Moody" Jack Melendez and he will be a part of the creative team in AAA. Melendez signed a contract with WWE earlier this week.

Other names already part of the creative team include Konnan and Jeremy Borash. Konnan has long been a booker for AAA, while Borash was brought in as a WWE representative on the creative team.

"Moody" Jack Melendez is a Spanish commentator for TNA Wrestling, having had multiple stints with the company stretching back to 2004. Melendez previously worked for AAA helping with booking and production, and he has previously assisted with booking in Puerto Rico for WWC and IWA Puerto Rico.

The return of Melendez to AAA comes only weeks after WWE announced the acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, with the deal set to be completed later this year. WWE will reportedly own 51 per cent of AAA, while Fillip will own the remaining 49 per cent.
