Fenix Suffers Leg Injury At Independent Event

During a tag team bout...

Less than a day after Jon Moxley was forced to pull out of AEW All Out with a staph infection in his elbow, another wrestler with a major match on the card is dealing with his own injury situation.

Rey Fenix of The Lucha Bros suffered a leg injury at a Big Time Wrestling event in Pawtucket, RI on Friday evening. The injury occurred while teaming with brother Pentagon, Jr against Juventud Guerrera and Teddy Hart.

According to reports, Fenix had superkicked Hart and then went to lift up Guerrera when he collapsed suddenly to the mat, grabbing his leg. After he was helped to the locker room, an audible was called to end the match, and Pentagon rushed backstage to check on his brother.

The injury doesn't appear to be too serious, contrary to earlier reports claiming that the leg was broken. Fenix was seen walking gingerly after the show, and was optimistic that he could still work All Out in a week's time.

Fenix and Pentagon are scheduled to wrestle The Young Bucks in a ladder match for the AAA World Tag Team titles in Chicago on August 31.
