Final Of NJPW G1 Climax 32 Revealed

A big final is set for G1 Climax 32

The semifinals of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's G1 Climax 32 tournament took place today inside the Nippon Budokan as Kazuchika Okada faced Tama Tonga, and Will Ospreay went one-on-one with Tetsuya Naito.

In the first semi-final, Tama Tonga came close to defeating Kazuchika Okada as he looked for the Gun Stun but the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion blocked it and followed up with an Enziguri, Cobra Flowsion, and the Rainmaker for the victory. Unlike last year, both men shook hands following their high-profile match.

Then, in the main event, Will Ospreay battled Tetsuya Naito. The leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon connected with Destino down the stretch but he couldn't put Ospreay away. This provided the Commonwealth Kingpin with the opening to fight back with a Hidden Blade to Naito's face before a Stormbreaker for the victory.

With that, two former friends in Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada will clash once again, this time with an IWGP World Heavyweight Title shot at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on the line.

The final of G1 Climax 32 will take place on Thursday, August 18, inside the Nippon Budokan.
