First Ever Women's Main Event Set For AEW: Dynamite

An Unsanctioned Lights Out Match is coming to AEW: Dynamite

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa will meet in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match on next week's AEW: Dynamite - the first-ever women's main-event on the show.

All Elite Wrestling's Tony Khan confirmed in his AEW: Revolution post-show media interview that the women's division would be getting the opportunity to main event an episode of Dynamite 'very soon', and the opportunity will be presented in next Wednesday's episode.

The two continued their feud on the most recent episode of AEW: Dynamite. While Thunder Rosa was able to pick up the win for herself, Hiraku Shida and Ryo Mizunami in a tag-team match against Baker, Maki Itoh and Nyla Rose, it was Baker who had the last laugh by attacking her rival after the contest, locking Rosa in the Lockjaw.

The duo met at Beach Break in February, in which Baker won their singles match, while Baker was also on the winning end on the AEW: Revolution Buy In pre-show when she and Maki Itoh beat Rosa and Riho.

The Unsanctioned Lights Out stipulation was used by Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega in the main event of AEW: Full Gear 2019, after which AEW was famously fined by the Maryland State Athletic Commission.
