Former AEW Talent Joins IMPACT Wrestling Faction

A former AEW wrestler has a big opportunity in IMPACT

A former AEW talent has seemingly found a new permanent home in IMPACT Wrestling.

Eric Young and Sami Callihan went one-on-one for the first time ever on Thursday's edition of IMPACT Wrestling. The match didn't have a clean finish, though, as men in yellow hoodies suddenly surrounded the ring and attacked Callihan, handing The Death Machine the win by DQ.

The hooded figures continued to attack Callihan after the bell and Eric Young and Deaner soon joined in, leaving the former IMPACT World Champion lying. Two figures then separated from the pack and revealed themselves to be former AEW talent Alan Angels and former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Big Kon as they were confirmed as the latest members of Violent By Design.

Angels had previously been a part of Dark Order in All Elite Wrestling but he left the company earlier this year after turning down a per-appearance deal. He made his IMPACT debut in July and returned to the promotion on October 27, losing in the first round of the X-Division Title tournament.

Big Kon has been a free agent since he was released by WWE in 2020. He made his IMPACT debut earlier this year, losing in 38 seconds to Josh Alexander. He also had an eight-minute match with Eddie Edwards on Before The IMPACT.

With their additions, Violent By Design now consists of Eric Young, Deaner, Joe Doering, Alan Angels, and Big Kon.
