A former AEW talent will soon be appearing on WWE NXT.

A vignette aired during Tuesday's edition of NXT which showed someone sitting down to watch TV, at which point short snippets were shown of the Cincinnati Bengals and the open to WCW Saturday Night before the television shut off.

While it was not confirmed who was sitting in the chair, the vignette was for Brian Pillman Jr. Pillman's father Brian Pillman played for the Bengals before he transitioned to professional wrestling. Pillman spent much of his career in World Championship Wrestling before he headed to WWE in 1996.

Brian Pillman Jr. was a part of All Elite Wrestling until his contract expired in July of 2023. Pillman was spotted at the WWE Performance Center for a tryout one week later and he signed with WWE in August. Pillman Jr. finished up his independent wrestling commitments on August 5 with a loss to NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Kerry Morton.

Another former AEW talent in Jade Cargill was officially signed by WWE on September 26. She started at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesday.
