A former AEW talent has claimed that the promotion has no system in place for young talents to learn the craft of professional wrestling.

Formerly part of the All Elite Wrestling roster from 2021 until exiting in October 2023, and during a recent appearance on Under the Ring, Brock reflected on AEW’s set-up for trainees:

"When I was at AEW, it was — hindsight is 20/20. You can look back and see that things were going to be the way they were, but I didn't know. It was a new company. I didn't know what was going to happen, but I don't think, looking back now, I wasn't ready for that because it — for young guys, there is no setup to really learn and grasp the business. It's just basically just TV,” said Anderson.

Some have pointed at AEW’s lack of consistent house shows as detrimental to the development of talent, although AEW talents are free to take independent bookings outside of AEW TV obligations.

Anderson is now in MLW, tagging with ‘cousin’ and former ECW star CW Anderson.
