A former Ring of Honor talent made their debut on the June 23 edition of AEW Dynamite, as former ROH World Television Champion Silas Young took on Hangman Page in singles action.

The match was announced early on Wednesday via AEW’s official Twitter account, and despite  spirited effort, Young succumbed to the Buckshot Lariat, as Page looked ahead to Forbidden Door, and his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship clash with Jay White, Adam Cole, and Kazuchika Okada.

Young was a mainstay of ROH from 2012 until its hiatus in Q1 2022, with ‘The Last Real man’ having reigned as ROH TV Champion on two occasions, holding the title for a combined 127 days across both reigns. Young also enjoyed a rivalry with Hangman Page during their time in ROH.

A Wisconsin native, Young’s appearance was likely due to AEW taping Dynamite and Rampage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and there is no word as of yet if this was a one-off, or if there are plans for Young to wrestle more for AEW and/or Ring of Honor.
