Former Tag Team Champion Returning To ROH

ROH set to welcome back a former tag team champion

Ring of Honor are set to welcome the return of one of their former champions, with an old face set to compete on the September 28 of ROH TV on HonorClub.

For the first time since 2015, Jimmy Jacobs will be competing in an ROH ring, as the former tag team champion takes on Shane Taylor in singles action.

Jacobs’ last televised appearance for Ring of Honor saw him unsuccessfully challenge Jay Briscoe for the ROH World Championship in March 2015. Jacobs is a former five-time world tag team champion, having held the straps with BJ Whitmer, Steve Corino, and most famously with Tyler Black as The Age of the Fall.

ROH commentator Ian Riccaboni took to Twitter/X to share his excitement of calling a Jacobs ROH match:

“I've been with @ringofhonor for nearly 10 years now. I have never called a Jimmy Jacobs match. We were like two ships in the night. Excited to see what Jimmy can do against... *Checks notes*... oh no. Jimmy Watch @shane216taylor's right. And his left. And his lariat. And..”

Jacobs has been working with AEW as a backstage producer since the summer, having previously worked for both WWE and IMPACT in a similar capacity.
