Former Tag Team Reuniting For AEW Blind Eliminator Tournament

The AEW Blind Eliminator Tournament will see a former tag team reunite

The first ever All Elite Wrestling Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships has not officially kicked off yet, but has already thrown up a number of surprises.

All teams competing for a shot at champions FTR are drawn at random, and after AEW World Championship rivals MJF and Adam Cole were drawn together, former AEW World Tag Team Champions Swerve In Our Glory were paired up on the June 28 edition of Dynamite, with heated rivals Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee forced together once more.

Swerve and Lee will face the team of Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin in the first round of the tournament on the July 5 edition of Dynamite. Only three teams have been drawn so far, and it remains to be seen when the next round of draws will take place.

The Blind Eliminator Tournament is AEW’s take on WCW’s BattleBowl/Lethal Lottery tournaments from the 1990s, with the concept the brainchild of beloved NWA/WCW legend Dusty Rhodes.
