A former TNA World Champion is staying with the promotion.

According to PWInsider, Steve Maclin has agreed to a contract extension on his existing deal with TNA Wrestling, although the length of Maclin's extension is unknown.

Maclin's contract with TNA was due to expire at the end of 2025, and the belief was he had agreed to stick around, although it had not been confirmed.

Steve Maclin has been a part of TNA since the summer of 2021, having signed with the company a few months after he was released by WWE, where he performed as Steve Cutler.

Maclin has been a featured talent across his TNA run. He held the TNA World Championship for 54 days in 2023, defeating KUSHIDA to win the vacant title at Rebellion before he dropped the belt to Alex Shelley at Against All Odds. Maclin is also a two-time TNA International Champion.

Other talents to re-sign with TNA Wrestling ahead of the premiere of Thursday Night IMPACT on AMC include Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander. The likes of The Rascalz, Killer Kelly, and Jake Something, however, are no longer under contract and Something has signed with All Elite Wrestling, debuting under his real name of Jake Doyle.
