Frankie Kazarian is no longer X-Division Champion.

The 45-year-old only captured the gold at Bound For Glory on October 7, defeating "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Kazarian announced on last week's episode of IMPACT that he planned to invoke Option C and relinquish the X-Division Title for a shot at the IMPACT World Championship.

Kazarian ultimately invoked that clause on Thursday's show, noting in a promo that he wasn't proud of what he has accomplished in his career, which is why he needs to win the IMPACT World Title. Kazarian will challenge Josh Alexander for the gold at Over Drive on November 18.

While he is an AEW talent, Kazarian has a long history with IMPACT and he is a six-time X-Division Champion. He hasn't challenged for the world title - then the TNA World Heavyweight Championship - since 2008.

An eight-man tournament will be held in the coming weeks to crown a new X-Division Champion, with the final also taking place at Over Drive. On the left side of the bracket, Black Taurus will take on Laredo Kid, while PJ Black will face Yuya Uemura. On the right side, Alan Angels will clash with former X-Division Champion Trey Miguel. Former champions in Kenny King and Mike Bailey will also face each other.
