Further Details On Sara Lee's Passing

More details on the death of Sara Lee

The wrestling world was rocked in October 2022 after it emerged that former WWE Tough Enough winner Sara Lee had passed away at the age of 30.

No cause of death was disclosed at the time but documents from the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office obtained by TMZ Sports have revealed that Lee died by suicide after ingesting a lethal combination of alcohol and pills. It was also noted that Lee left "letters of intent at the scene" before her passing.

Lee was said to have had bruises and abrasions on her head and body when she passed. It is suspected she may have fallen on multiple occasions while she was intoxicated.

Lee won the sixth season of WWE Tough Enough in 2015, outlasting a field that included Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and Chelsea Green, among others. She competed in a handful of matches at NXT live events in 2016 before being released by WWE in September of that year.

Lee married former WWE talent Wesley Blake in 2017. The couple had three children together.
