Future Challenger For WWE World Heavyweight Title Revealed On Raw

Damian Priest's possible next challenger for WWE World Heavyweight Title revealed

A future challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship was revealed on WWE Raw.

Raw opened with Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest and the two talents spent several minutes trading insults. After going back and forth numerous times, Damian Priest ultimately agreed to give Drew McIntyre a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship when McIntyre is cleared to perform.

McIntyre has continued to appear on WWE programming but he has not wrestled in recent weeks due to a badly hyperextended elbow that he suffered at WrestleMania 40. McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL but Irn Dru lost the title to Damian Priest only minutes later after he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract.

The opportunity for Priest arose after CM Punk attacked Drew McIntyre following his match with Seth Rollins. The programme between McIntyre and Punk has continued since then, despite both men being injured.

When exactly Drew McIntyre will be cleared for an in-ring return has not been revealed. He is featured prominently in promotion for Clash at the Castle, though, a pay-per-view that will emanate from Glasgow, Scotland on June 15.
