Gerald Brisco: Vince McMahon Doesn't Surround Himself With Yes Men In WWE

McMahon keeps those who disagree with him around, Brisco has claimed

Over the years, the perception has been that Vince McMahon surrounds himself with yes men in WWE. This view has only been perpetuated in 2021 with the likes of Bruce Prichard and John Laurinaitis currently finding themselves in authoritative positions within the company.

Former WWE employee Gerald Brisco has disputed this perception, though, telling Wrestling Inc. that McMahon retains those who disagree with him most often.

"People who have been around [Vince] know this, Vince don't surround himself with yes people. And I disagreed with him. I had verbal arguments with him because I didn't agree with a lot of stuff, and he didn't agree with me. And the guys that stuck around with Vince the longest are guys that disagreed with Vince the most, probably," Brisco said.

Brisco previously worked for WWE for 36 years from 1984 until 2020. During that time, he was often one of McMahon's most trusted advisors alongside Pat Patterson. That role translated to TV and Brisco and Patterson would often appear on Raw during the Attitude Era as McMahon's stooges.
