Goldberg Not Interested In Signing For 'Too Cheesy' AEW
Goldberg not interested in signing with AEW

WCW and WWE legend Goldberg is unlikely to appear in AEW, after strongly denying interest in the promotion in a recent interview.
Speaking to 93.7 The Ticket this past weekend, he revealed: “I have talked to them a number of times throughout the past but this is where you're going to get the most blunt answer you're going to get from me: the product is too cheesy. If there was a comparable, viable option as a competitor that would allow me to still look myself in the mirror after I was a member of their roster, yeah, then it would be a consideration, but not a chance.”
Between the announcement of Sting’s retirement and his eventual last match at AEW Revolution 2024, speculation arose about the possibility of a Goldberg appearance in the promotion (given his status as a fellow WCW great.) However, given the above comments, the chances of such an arrangement would seem slim going forwards.
Goldberg’s last match came in WWE, where he lost to Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2022 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His WWE contract expired at the end of 2022, and he hasn’t wrestled anywhere else since.
Goldberg made controversial comments earlier this year, saying WWE had "some Japanese girl" beat his 173-0 undefeated streak. Asuka, of course, broke Goldberg's record.
