The NXT Women's Tag Team Titles will be on the line on next week's edition of NXT, but not in a tag team match.

It was announced on January 17 that Kayden Carter and Katana Chance will defend the gold in a Handicap Match against Alba Fyre next week. The match came about after Isla Dawn cost Fyre a win over Sol Ruca. The former Kay Lee Ray was set to attack the referee with a baseball bat before Chance and Carter stopped her. This led to a challenge from Fyre and it was later revealed the former NXT UK Women's Champion had refused to find a tag team partner for next week's bout.

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter have been NXT Women's Tag Team Champions since August of 2022.

Also set for next week's NXT is Tiffany Stratton vs. Indi Hartwell, Wendy Choo vs. Elektra Lopez, and a Vengeance Day summit with Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne ahead of their NXT Women's Title match. An award ceremony for Thea Hail will also take place next week following her win over Valentina Feroz on January 17.
