Hangman Page To Face NJPW Star On AEW Dynamite

Hangman Page returns to action on the June 8 AEW Dynamite

After dropping the AEW World Championship to CM Punk at Double or Nothing, Hangman Adam Page is set to return to action on the June 8 edition of Dynamite.

Page will take on a debuting David Finlay, with the NJPW star making his first appearance in an AEW ring, presumably ramping up the build towards AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 26.

Finlay and Page have clashed many times before when both were working for NJPW, but have never had a singles bout. Indeed, the last time to two faced off in traditional action was during the 2018 NJPW World Tag League, with Finlay and Juice Robinson (FinJuice) defeating the Bullet Club team of Page and Yujiro Takahashi.

A regular presence on NJPW STRONG, Finlay has also wrestled for IMPACT Wrestling, holding the IMPACT World Tag Team Championships with Juice Robinson for several months in the first half of 2021, winning the titles from NJPW alumni The Good Brothers, before dropping them to Violent By Design.
