After weeks of tension, All Elite Wrestling have officially sanctioned a singles match between former world champions MJF and Hangman Page at Revolution 2025.
The two have been verbally antagonising one another for weeks, with words eventually leading to blows on the February 12 edition of Dynamite. On February 19, the two again came face-to-face in Dynamite’s opening segment, with the two ordered not to let things descend into another melee as security surrounded the ring. After more verbal jousting, MJF spat in Page’s face then ran to the back before Hangman could retaliate, with Christopher Daniels coming out to retain order after Hangman had snapped and beat up security.
Page and MJF have only ever faced off in singles competition once before, with MJF defeating Hangman in November 2019 to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring for the first time. MJF of course made sure to remind Page about this on Dynamite. Outside of this, the two have only shared a ring on two other occasions, MJF winning a four-way against Page, Jungle Boy, and Jimmy Havoc at Fyter Fest 2019, whilst Page and former Dark Order allies Alex Reynolds and John Silver defeated MJF, Santana, and Ortiz on the Brodie Lee Celebration of Life special of Dynamite in December 2020.
