Happy Corbin Attacks Pat McAfee After WWE Money In The Bank, Match Set For SummerSlam

The showdown is on

Happy Corbin attacked SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee shortly after Money in the Bank went off the air, and then accepted McAfee's earlier challenge for a match at SummerSlam.

After the pay-per-view signed off, Corbin attacked McAfee, dragged him into the crowd, landed a series of punches, and pulled him back to ringside, where he hit the End of Days.

Corbin then yelled that he accepted McAfee's challenge.

The issue began after Corbin lost a "Last Laugh" match to Madcap Moss on SmackDown weeks ago, and McAfee berated Corbin afterward. McAfee later issued a challenge to Corbin for a SummerSlam match, though Corbin didn't respond to the challenge when prompted on Friday's SmackDown.

McAfee has wrestled two matches on WWE's main roster, both at WrestleMania 38 earlier this year: a win over Theory, and then an immediate loss to Vince McMahon.

The current card for the 2022 WWE SummerSlam, taking place Saturday, July 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, is as follows:

* Undisputed WWE Universal/Last Man Standing: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar

* Pat McAfee vs. Happy Corbin
